Session 201 | A Community Based Treatment Model for Adolescents & Their Supports

Merakey’s Dual Diagnosis Treatment Team (DDTT) provides flexible, person/family centered treatment and support services to individual and families, age 11 and older, who are dually diagnosed with a mental health and co-occurring intellectual/developmental disability. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, DDTT was tasked with adjusting their service delivery standards to include more flexibility in order to ensure individuals/supports served still received high quality care, when and where they needed it most. DDTT provides treatment and support to dually diagnosed individuals, and their supports, via telehealth, as well as in person.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will learn about Merakey’s community-based Dual Diagnosis Treatment Teams (DDTT)
  2. Participants will learn how DDTT utilizes integrated telehealth service delivery.
  3. Participants will learn ways to utilize telehealth to provide clinical care and crisis services to adolescents and their supports.
