204: Empowering Success: Supporting Individuals Diagnosed with MH and IDD in Higher Education

As more students dually diagnosed with Mental Health (MH) and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD) are pursuing higher education, families, educators, and support staff must be equipped with the knowledge and tools to foster their success. This training equips participants with strategies to empower and support students, enhancing their achievement.

Participants will explore common challenges, learn how to create an inclusive campus environment, and develop comprehensive support systems that engage students, families, and campus resources. By the end, attendees will be prepared to effectively support students with MH and IDD, ensuring their success and well-being in higher education.
